A recent FCC ruling specifies that wireless microphones, wireless intercoms, and personal monitors may continue to operate in the UHF television band between TV channels 14-51 (470-698 MHz), and in the VHF television band between TV channels 7-13 (174-216 MHz).
All Electro-Voice wireless microphone products are manufactured to utilize bandwidths below 698 MHz, and have been for some time.

As a major manufacturer of wireless and intercom products, it is important we keep our customers informed of any changes in the industry that may affect the use of our systems.
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) recently provided a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking regarding revisions to the Rules Authorizing the Operation of Low Power Auxiliary Stations in the 698-806 MHz spectrum. The revisions include the proposed (and probable) ban on the sale of wireless intercom and wireless microphone products above 698 MHz to coincide with the DTV (Digital Television) transition that will take effect on February 17, 2009.

Carnival Cruise Lines recently upgraded its fleet with a series of three state-of-the-art Electro-Voice and Dynacord audio installations. Each installation was performed by SES Live Professional, a burgeoning sound production company based in Senoia, Ga. Since its foundation in Jan. 2008, SES has quickly earned a reputation across the Southeastern United States for quality sound, performance, and consulting.

For the fifth time in as many years, Texas-based LD Systems traveled to Las Vegas in December for the 50th annual Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (WNFR), a 10-day event many consider the Super Bowl of rodeo. LD has partnered with the WNFR since 2004 as the event’s exclusive light and stage producer. 2007 marked the first year that LD also supplied sound reinforcement for the event.
