“InfoComm 2009 was an enormous success - it demonstrated on an unprecedented scale our commitment to providing Bosch customers with the very highest level of professional partnership and product quality. I’d like to thank each and every one of our customers and guests for helping make it the most important event we’ve ever done.“
“I believe everyone who visited us will agree that the show took Bosch and the Communications Systems Division brands to a whole new level.”
Thomas Hansen, Vice-President, Americas
“The momentum we generated at this show is incredible. From start to finish, the enthusiasm and interest we experienced at our booth, demo room, and events was inspiring. We made a bold statement at InfoComm this year, and I believe everyone who visited us will agree that the show took Bosch and the Communications Systems Division brands to a whole new level.“
Daniel Nix, Vice-President of Sales, Americas
Under the banner “Sound Partnership, Sound Solutions,“ the brands of Bosch’s Communications Systems Division made a BIG impact at this year’s InfoComm trade show in Orlando, Florida - the largest pro AV event in the world and the most-attended InfoComm show ever held on the east coast.
As PLatinum Sponsors of the show, the Bosch name and logo were omnipresent around Orange County Convention Center, with all signs pointing to the Communications Systems Division booth and the 32,000 sq. ft. Electro-Voice Demo Room, located literally “Above It All“ in the Valencia Ballroom on the fourth floor of the center. Booth #6100 was buzzing with activity for each of the show’s three days, with a steady stream of customers stopping by to learn about a wide range of exciting new products from Bosch, Electro-Voice, Klark Teknik, Midas, RTS, and Telex - all welcomed by the sales team led by VP of Sales, Americas, Daniel Nix.
Given the depth of Bosch’s involvement in InfoComm and the industry in general, it was fitting that Thomas Hansen, VP Americas, participated in a pre-show manufacturer’s forum moderated by Pro AV magazine. Onstage in the convention center’s Chapin Theater, Hansen joined three other leading industry executives to discuss a broad range of topics, including the “greening“ of the AV industry - a point where Bosch’s long-time commitment to environmentally sound practices came across loud and clear.
Far and away the largest space of its kind at the show, the EV Demo Room was also the location for the main InfoComm opening reception and the NSCA Jam Session. The Communications Systems Division team hosted a variety of new product demonstrations and special events in this impressive space, with some sessions attracting over 130 guests. Two invitation-only consultants’ presentations, including the only Spanish-speaking event of its kind, were very well attended, demonstrating EV’s commitment to the industry at the highest level across the Americas. The EV-Innovation family of installation-dedicated loudspeakers was a huge hit, with the EVA, EVF, and EVH models making their global debut in an appropriately grand fashion. Ears from across all corners of the industry were impressed!
Bosch introduced a variety of additions to its Public Address and Conferencing lines at the show - all new products for the Americas that are making waves as new-code-compliant, must-have solutions for the AV integration market. Proof of point: the Bosch Praesideo Public Address & Life Safety system was presented a prestigious Systems Contractor News Award for “Most Innovative Security/Life Safety Product“ at the show.
Bosch’s dedication to education and training programs was demonstrated in a number of classes held at the show, including sessions for Bosch Conferencing and Public Address systems - all of which offered credits for CTS certification.
Additional major releases included the Telex BTR-80N Narrow Band wireless intercom system, a groundbreaking new narrow band solution released with perfect timing for the DTV transition. RTS showed its unique range of color display keypanels and accessories for the broadcast industry and beyond. EV’s commercial sound solutions, including the latest members of the ever-popular EVID family of loudspeakers, stood alone in terms of state-of-the-art design and functionality. The leading-edge NetMax N8000-1500 digital matrix/processor (the most powerful on the market) and latest version of IRIS-Net control and supervision software reinforced EV’s leadership in the world of DSP. Across the booth, visitors experienced a wide range of new products that lead the way in customer-driven innovation.
From beginning to end, Bosch was proud to be at the heart of this important industry event; all in all a stellar showing at InfoComm 2009!
