Shuttlesound's Big Day Outside
Building on the successful Big Day Out events of the last two years, Shuttlesound is taking product demos to another level with the announcement of the first Big Day Outside over the second May Bank Holiday weekend. In conjunction with the Glastonbudget festival near Nottingham, a unique collaboration between the technical and performance sectors of the industry will allow Shuttlesound guests to demo three different Electro-Voice line array systems in a bona fide festival environment.
Glastonbudget is Europe’s largest festival for tribute bands and new acts. Dubbed ‘the Mecca of tribute’, the event is now in its 6th year and will see more than 6,000 fans gather to see 130+ bands. With six stages on site, production services company OneBigStar has ample opportunities to set out the Electro-Voice stall on behalf of Shuttlesound. With XLC providing a first-class rock ‘n’ roll PA for the main stage, there will be XLD and XLE on the two B stages, and Tour X and Phoenix systems used in the VIP marquee and other locales.
Everything kicks off on Friday 28 May, with VIP guests getting hands-on time with all the systems, a demonstration of the full power of the XLC on the main stage, and lots of opportunity to discuss software and hardware with the Shuttlesound team. There will be full hospitality in the VIP marquee backstage, and the bands start playing at 5pm. An unmissable bill on the tribute stage includes The Four Fighters, The Fillers, and a Britpop battle between Blurb and Oasish!
Says Shuttlesound MD Sean Maxwell, “we’ve always enjoyed a very positive response to our Big Day Out customer days, when we put the entire Electro-Voice product portfolio on demo. Working with Glastonbudget gives us the chance to go a stage further and show our bigger line-array systems in action, as well as a fantastic opportunity to enjoy a couple of fun days with our customers!”
The Shuttlesound team is keeping fingers crossed for good weather. Anyone interested in attending should move quickly to secure one of the limited number of tickets, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
