HOUSTON METRO TRANSIT AUTHORITY KEEP MEETINGS MOVING WITH EV
The sound reinforcement part of the install included twelve channels of EV PolarChoice Satellite microphones with Telex FMR-1000 receivers. Offering the end-user four polar pattern options, easy operation and stylish design, the PC Satellite has fast become the wireless mic of choice for corporate boardroom applications. Ford A/V’s Houston Project Manager Marc Townley explained why the PC Satellite makes sense:
“The HMTA asked us to find a gooseneck wireless microphone system that would combine sound quality and ease of use for their round table committee meetings. I had trouble finding a mic that met all these criteria at first, and then found EV’s PolarChoice satellite, which not only met all their requirements, but also offered switchable polar patterns and a stylish, contemporary look that would compliment their new boardroom. Not a lot of manufacturers are making wireless gooseneck mic’s, let alone a model with such a complete, flexible feature set. My engineer, Josh Gordon, heard about the PC Satellite and sent me a spec sheet. After doing some research on the mic and on the Telex FMR receivers, I wrote up a change order and they were happy to approve it after hearing - and seeing - the PC Satellites. The mics are working out very well, the customer is very happy, and we’ll certainly be spec’ing them for similar installations in the future.“
The PolarChoice Satellite brings the benefits of wireless to the boardroom, conference center, or podium. The PolarChoice Satellite is a free-standing gooseneck style microphone, firmly anchored in place by its elegantly designed base. This low-profile foundation hides PolarChoice Satellite’s most powerful feature - space for a wireless transmitter. Turn the base over to reveal the specially designed compartment for housing a Telex or Electro-Voice bodypack transmitter. Simply connect the microphone to the bodypack, set up the wireless channel, and place the PC Satellite anywhere an easy-to-use microphone is required. No longer do you have to cut holes in tables, run long cables, or compromise the architectural integrity of an installation.
