Successful Prolight+Sound 2011 for Communications Systems from Bosch
The annual Musikmesse/Prolight+Sound in Frankfurt ran from April 6-9 this year. The twin fairs, world leaders in the fields of events and entertainment equipment, reported a positive trend in 2011, both in terms of exhibitors and the high attendance figures that underline their worldwide appeal. The same could be said of the Communications Systems from Bosch booth, which, as always, was a real favorite with dealers and industry insiders alike – all eager to see the latest products from DYNACORD and Electro-Voice. "We were delighted by the extremely large number of visitors at the booth," says Robert Hesse, Vice President Sales Communication EMEA of Bosch Security Systems and Managing Director of EVI Audio GmbH. "Almost of greater importance to us, however, was the tremendous demand for our new products. This exceeded our expectations – as it had, indeed, at the NAMM Show and the ISE. Evidently we've scored direct hits by offering problem solutions of the highest caliber – and at very attractive prices!"
The many participants at the company's press conference, held according to tradition on the Thursday of the Musikmesse/Prolight+Sound, were able to form a clear impression of this year's new products, with the PowerMate3 series from DYNACORD once again proving a particular favorite with both representatives of the press and dealers. The latest generation of the world's best selling powered mixer, with sales already way in excess of 100,000 units, offers a wealth of new features, including an integrated 4 IN/4 OUT USB interface. Meanwhile, the new CMS3 family of mixers offers the same high-quality specifications in the mixing and effects sections but without the power amplifier.
The Live X series from Electro-Voice was also extremely well received. A loudspeaker family comprising three powered and four passive models, the Live X series covers a very wide range of applications – and at highly attractive price points, a fact that further fueled the interest of dealers. A separate stand in Hall 6.1 was dedicated to EV microphones. These, too, represent outstanding value for money. Of course, with the R300 wireless system and RE320 instrument and vocal microphone, Electro-Voice, one of the pioneers in the field of microphone technology, has a glorious tradition to build on: All the greats in the world of show business – including Elvis, Stevie Wonder and Frank Sinatra – have used EV microphones.
Among members of the public visiting the Musikmesse/Prolight+Sound, a new Facebook campaign launched at the fair by DYNACORD attracted a great deal of interest. Entitled "DYNACORD DISCOVERY DAYS", the initiative is aimed at encouraging young talents and gained added kudos in Frankfurt through the presence of Reamonn guitarist Uwe Bossert in the dual roles of patron and jury member.
Visitors could also convince themselves of the high quality of the new products from Electro-Voice and DYNACORD by hearing them in action. On the popular "Acoustic Stage", for example, a DYNACORD D-Lite activefour system was being used in combination with a CMS 2200-3 mixer, whilst the "Music4Kids" hands-on exhibition aimed at children featured an Electro-Voice Live X PA.
Explains Robert Pletz, who as Marketing Director was responsible for the trade fair presentation of Communications Systems from Bosch: "At our booths, we tailored our various presentations to their context. In Hall 8, for example, the emphasis was on the technology, whereas in Hall 6.1 live performance featured prominently in the mix. We wanted to offer a maximum of information and communication. In this, we succeeded. The response not only of our partners but also of consumers to our products and the way they were presented was outstanding. Moreover, Communications Systems from Bosch this year once again won several awards for its products. Editors of renowned special interest magazines, for instance, gave two awards to DYNACORD’s PowerMate 1000-3 self-powered mixer and another to the Electro-Voice DC-One controller. We were particularly proud, too, to have provided the equipment for the Acoustic Stage at this year's Musikmesse/Prolight+Sound as well as contributing to the Music4Kids exhibition – two of the jewels in the Musikmesse crown! We were delighted to have been able to support both platforms."
