EVI Audio congratulates ATEMPO on 25 years' success
One of EVI Audio's most valued partners in the pro audio sector is celebrating: for 25 years, Turkey-based ATEMPO has been selling sound systems in their region – including, since 1998, those of EVI Audio. During its first years of trading, ATEMPO limited its activities to Turkey. Thanks to the company's outstanding product portfolio, however, and the sheer professionalism of the team led by MD Mujdat Konuralp, ATEMPO soon found itself expanding – both geographically and in terms of the range of products and services supplied. Today, ATEMPO is the leading address for professional audiovisual solutions, not only in Turkey but also in Azerbaijan, Russia, Ukraine, North Cypress, Georgia, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan. To handle their constantly increasing flow of orders, ATEMPO now has three branches in Turkey and a team of 118 employees, including 34 are electro- and IT-engineers.
Inextricably bound up in ATEMPO’s success story are the brands Electro-Voice and DYNACORD, which have long played a dynamic role in the company's expansion, earning them today a privileged place in its product portfolio. "Electro-Voice and DYNACORD are our flagships," says Volkan Konuralp, ATEMPO's Regional Director for Istanbul. "We push both brands in all our various business lines. In fact, we have built our entire structure around them." And with good reason, as Konuralp is quick to emphasize, for in addition to the outstanding quality of the products themselves, the support leaves nothing to be desired. "Communication with the management is simply perfect," he attests. "That has proved a decisive factor on numerous prestigious projects: we have invariably received the support we wanted. This gave us the solid foundation upon which our success has been built and allowed us to be permanently optimizing and expanding our business."
Among the 'prestige projects' to which Konuralp alludes are some of the largest and best-known venues in Turkey. One such is the 3,500-seater Istanbul Congress Center in Harbiye, the largest multi-function hall in Turkey, which is equipped with a NetMax-based Electro-Voice XLC system. Another is the Muhsin Ertugrul Theater, which is the largest and most modern in the country. With a stage capacity of 600 and opened by the Prime Minister in 2010, the theatre boasts an Electro-Voice XLC system. ATEMPO also sets the tone In Turkish sports arenas, the latest example being the Sinan Erdem Sports Dome. Capable of accommodating 10,000 spectators, this was the venue for the finals of the World Basketball Championships in 2010 and, not surprisingly, Electro-Voice loudspeakers and amplifiers feature prominently in its inventory.
But these top references are only one side of the ATEMPO coin. "We cover the entire bandwidth," says Volkan Konuralp, "from bars and exclusive restaurants and clubs of all sizes to the very largest halls and stadiums". Konuralp, who is a convinced, and convincing advocate for the Electro-Voice Live-X series as well as the new PowerMate3, is planning the firm's future in a carefully considered way. ATEMPO's system portfolio is already perfectly tailored to the needs of the market. For this reason, in 2011 and 2012 optimization of the staff's technical expertise and the fine-tuning of system components – as well as expansion of the broadcasting segment – top the agenda.
