Founded in 1972, Vidya Pratisthan University is established as an institute committed to excellence and providing a value-based education complemented by state-of-the-art technology. The school firmly believes that entertainment and co-curricular activities go hand-in-hand with the school syllabus to create a holistic form of education, and the revamp of its 2000-seat GaDiMa auditorium bears testimony to this philosophy.

Business objective:

As the GaDiMa auditorium’s major facelift progressed, it became clear that a world-class auditorium was beginning to take shape, meaning a world-class sound reinforcement system would be required.

The end-user’s requirements were specific: the audio systems had to be user-friendly, functionally effective, and aesthetically pleasing – a challenging combination of criterions that led the school to engage the expert services of consultant Mr. Vijay N Purandare.

After much deliberation and evaluation, the end-user zeroed in on Electro-Voice solutions that could provide the desired combination of form and function.

Solution:

The selected EVA series line array loudspeakers, Sx300 first ring loudspeakers, and ZXA5 monitor loudspeakers impressed the end-user with their incredibly clear sound and beautiful design. CPS 2.9 amplifiers were installed and a NetMax system controller was utilized to help manage all aspects of the sound systems in the auditorium.

The ease of installation of the various systems also meant that a lot of time and effort was saved. The installation was also enhanced with high-quality EV wireless handheld and lapel microphones. The single-brand solution, coupled with system management by NetMax controller, makes it very user-friendly for the end-user to operate and maintain the systems as a whole.
