Electro-Voice picks up six ProSoundWeb “Readers’ Choice” awards

  • The largest on-line community in the pro audio industry has just elected its “products of the year” for 2013
  • Electro-Voice systems won in six categories, making EV the most successful enterprise overall

For six years now, ProSoundWeb, the largest on-line community in the pro audio industry, has been organizing its “Readers’ Choice” awards, whereby several thousand Internet users vote online for their favorite pro audio systems. This year, products in 23 different categories were nominated, with Electro-Voice emerging at the end of the day as the dominant supplier. After giving the company four awards in 2012, users this year recognized no fewer than six Electro-Voice systems as the best in their categories – more than any other enterprise in the pro audio industry.

The following Electro-Voice innovations convinced the users:

  • Portable Powered Systems: Live X
  • Small-Format Line Arrays: EVA
  • Passive Loudspeakers: EVH-D
  • Best Subwoofer: EVF-2151D
  • Best Dynamic Microphone: RE320
  • Networking Technologies: RCM-26
“Already last year, we were the only manufacturer to win in four categories,” comments Robert Hesse, Vice President Sales Communication EMEA and Managing Director of EVI Audio GmbH. “That we were able to top even that fantastic result this year vindicates our ‘Best in Class’ strategy of continuous improvement. We are proud to be the only manufacturer honored with six awards.” The results were all the more gratifying for being based on the judgment of the end users themselves and for the way they underlined the comprehensive quality of the company’s product portfolio. “What these awards mean,” concludes Hesse, “is that from loudspeaker systems to microphones to complex networking technologies we are always ‘Best in Class’.
