Winning Wild Card Round, Nepalese Band CAGED, pleasantly surprised to be selected as the fourth winner of the “Be Electro-Voiced” contest

Electro-Voice and Pro Audio Asia are pleased to announce the fourth winner of the “Be Electro-Voiced” contest for the period of Jan – Feb 2013. Congratulations to “CAGED” as they join the previous three winners in the “Be Electro-Voiced” contest hall of fame.

Nepalese band CAGED was formed in late 2011 with band members Ryan Ale, Chandan Moya Shrestha and Anuj Shrestha. Their common interest in music brought them together since their teenage years and they have been jamming and performing together since. They have played together in many session gigs, featuring several mainstream artists such as Ciney Gurung and Naren Limbu.

With 2 EPs already released (‘Mayako’ and ‘Nirdoss’), CAGED is currently working on their first album with Gesuras Productions and Camerilla Productions.

Ryan Ale is the vocalist and guitarist of CAGED as well as Tattva band. He has spent more than seven years in the music field as a session artiste. Ryan is also a composer, arranger and vocal instructor at CAGED Music Institute and Glacier Higher Secondary School.

Chandan Moya Shrestha plays the electric guitar and keyboard in the band. He is a guitar instructor at many schools and private institutes. Having spent more than seven years in the musical field, Chandan has worked with many different bands and mainstream artistes as a guitarist and keyboardist.

Anuj Shrestha has been actively engaged in the music world since 2006. He has been performing in several hotels and pubs as a professional musician for many years. Anuj has also collaborated with many local mainstream bands and artistes. He plays the drums and percussion instruments in CAGED.

“We joined this contest to promote our band and to win the EV microphone.”

EV is still looking for two more singers or bands to showcase their performances, judged by EV's panel of judges on Facebook. contestants just need to upload a short video of their performances onto the Facebook page. The winners, announced once every two months, will be endorsed by EV and receive a professional EV microphone. They will also stand a chance to win the grand prize of an EV loudspeaker system.
