SOUNDCOM CREATE UNIQUE ROLLING RACK WITH EV POLARCHOICE SATELLITE WIRELESS SYSTEMS

The STRSOH now has a highly portable, self-contained wireless system that is as easy to operate as it is to move from room to room. The rack features a microphone level output that allows the user to plug the system into any mic jack in the facility for up to 12 automixed, simultaneous channels of PolarChoice performance. When neatly secured in drawers below the racked receivers, the PolarChoice power switches are all visible and accessible to ensure systems are switched off.

We’ve upgraded a lot of the A/V systems since the STRSOH building was built six years ago“, reported SoundCom’s Jeff Rollins, “and the new EV wireless systems really bring a nice balance of leading-edge design and convenience to the building. Aside from larger meetings held in the boardroom, the staff hold a lot of meetings in various rooms around the building, at which 10 or 12 people might be present. For these, the staff used to bring in a large wired microphone system, along with a person to run a mixing console for both recording and reinforcement duties. They asked me to come up with a portable wireless system with mics that they could simply place in front of people, and from which they could walk away after setup with no worries. The other criterion was that they be able to use the new system in any room with a microphone input. We took all their requests and designed a solution that could be packed up, stored, and rolled from room to room in one tidy unit.“

Rollins added: “The PolarChoice Satellite is an awesome product with unique features that made it the only option for this project: a fully wireless desk mic with multiple, easy to select polar patterns, all in a package that looks as good as it sounds. We originally took the client down a PolarChoice sample our EV reps (CL Pugh) gave us, and that demo soon made the sale.
