Telex Communications, Inc. Captivates Customers at NSC

March 30th, 2005

From the launch of the EV Zx5™ loudspeaker to the much talked about X-Line Very Compact™ full-bandwidth line-array system, EV loudspeakers were a hit. Likewise, the new Electro-Voice RE97™ wireless headworn microphone drew crowds. As always, Dynacord was a popular brand, and interest in the new Xa-2™ system and CMS compact mixers was high. Midas’ recently launched Siena console - in conjunction with Klark Teknik Helix remote control software and V2.02 of the Elgar Library Manager Shell - kept company experts busy with customer questions.

Telex/RTS intercom also made a proud showing with several new product offerings including the 4 channel master station, MS-4002, the explosion proof beltpack, HCU-317, an antenna combiner/splitter, the ACS-101, and the FM-1 system manager. Similarly, Telex Headsets featured the PH-100/PH-200 and HR-1/HR-2 headsets.

Beyond the obvious product introductions, Telex Communications also spent time in discussion with some of the industry’s top contractors, consultants, designers, and integrators. The company’s demo room was often filled to capacity, as show attendees took part in the “Jim and Monte Show“, a tag-team presentation of technical insights that included product demonstrations and great music. Here, demonstration attendees listened intently to the company’s new product offerings, including the new X-Line Very Compact™ full-bandwidth line-array system. Electroacoustic Design Services’ Tom Young remarks: “I thought the X-Line Very Compact was one of the most natural sounding multiband line array systems I have yet heard. Although this was not in a “kamikaze live sound’ environment, it was none-the-less apparent that this system reproduces music and reinforces voice extremely well. From what I could see the rigging is also very slick.“

Choosing to alter their annual Contractors’ Breakfast tradition slightly, Telex treated many of these guests to a top-notch dinner and cocktail hour at Orlando’s Jazz!. By all reports, these industry professionals truly enjoyed themselves.
