EV/BLUE RAVEN™ FLIES HIGH WITH ANDREWS SISTERS TRIBUTE IN TASMANIA

The Andrews Girls show is so popular that people flew in from as far away as Western Australia, Queensland and New Zealand just for this performance. A packed crowd cheered and applauded warmly as the three girls wheeled through a set of classics to an audience who would not have been born when the originals were released. The show features Angela, Heather and Patti out front with a repertoire that includes all the standards, from “Boogie, Woogie Bugle Boy“ to “Rum and Coca Cola“.

Production Works of Hobart, Tasmania, handled production for the tour, which also featured EV loudspeakers and Dynacord electronics. Production manager Phill Webb chose to use the new Electro Voice Raven microphones for the tour. “Not only do they look the part - they sound absolutely great!“ reported Webb. Since the girls move around a fair bit during the show, using a cardioid pattern microphone that picks up well at distance with little proximity was an ideal choice.

Webb added that the Raven will certainly be his first choice microphone for future shows. Management is currently looking at touring the show in China, with dates in Fiji also being discussed.
