Blue Goes Worldwide with Telex/EV

November 14th, 2005

The two companies have had success by combining the strengths of each to form a collaborative effort of engineering, design, sales, and distribution. Telex Communications, on the strength of its Electro-Voice and EV brands, is backed by 80 years of experience in the field of microphones and brings one of the largest sales and distribution infrastructures in the industry. This is complimented by Blue’s cutting-edge approach microphone design, including the highest quality electronics and their unique visual style.

“Over the past few months we have seen that this puzzle fits together the way we had envisioned,“ said Skipper Wise, President of Blue Microphones. “The expansion of our previous agreement is key to bringing the Blue, Electro-Voice, EV brands, and co-developed products to the masses.“

“This agreement allows us to grow together by combining Telex Communication’s experience and relationships in the market with Blue’s contemporary approach to design and marketing,“ added Tony Price, Director of Microphones for Telex Communications. “It makes sense on all levels.“

This distribution agreement, effective in January, 2006 builds upon the recent introduction of a new EV BLUE line of microphones at Winter NAMM 2005. Two new microphone products, the Cardinal and Raven, officially marked the introduction of the EV BLUE line to the MI, recording, broadcast, and pro audio markets. For more information, please visit
