CAESARS ’JERK IT OUT’ ON TOUR WITH EV’ MICS

Sweden’s Caesars are the latest addition to EV’s family of microphone endorsers. Comprised of César Vidál (vocals, guitar), Joakim Åhlund (guitar), David Lindqvist (bass), and Nino Keller (drums), Caesars have found a global audience for their contemporary take on garage rock with “Jerk It Out“, an anthem of whirling keys and in-your-face vocals that sets the tone for Apple’s latest Ipod commercial.

But the band is much more than a one trick pony. “Jerk It Out“ is in good company on “Paper Tigers“ (their fourth studio album), an ambitious collection that combines a flair for arrangements that are at once innovative and melodic with an electric attitude firmly rooted in “60s garage fuzz and psychedelic textures. What also sets “Paper Tigers“ apart is the scope of the material: mellotron-mellowed pieces like “Winter Song“ sit side by side with gritty rockers like “Soul Chaser“. These variations upon a theme set Caesars head and shoulders above other bands inhabiting this well-travelled territory - a list that includes many of their countrymen!

To ensure Caesar’s live shows are as dynamically satisfying as their recorded work, FOH Engineer Lars Nygaard relies upon EV microphones. Caesars are currently on tour around the USA, and will be heading to festival shows in Japan immediately afterwards.
