The new system features EV Sx300PIXW, MTL-1X loudspeakers and EV CPS2T 70/100-volt amplifiers, all controlled via EV NetMax digital audio matrix processing.

“The main goal in the sound system design was to achieve an even coverage and uniform sound pressure level at an affordable cost,“ reports Hugo Gonzalez Project Engineer, AVCS. “As a solution, we proposed a distributed sound system, running on a constant voltage line (100 Volts) to optimize cost benefit.“

After considering its excellent feature set, AVCS spec’d 66 Sx300PIXW loudspeakers for installation on the upper and lower decks; to improve the frequency response of the whole system, six MTL-1X subwoofer cabinets were added (complete with weather resistant finish), distributed along the field sides.

The complete loudspeaker system is controlled via EV NetMax N8000 digital matrix processors, running an IRIS-Net software configuration. Using NetMax makes the system easy to use; once NetMax is configured and programmed it becomes the made-to-measure main mixer and system controller for the whole system, and with more than enough DSP to handle all on the fly adjustments. NetMax offers an unprecedented level of complete remote control and supervision in one compact package. Gonzalez adds: “What else can I say? Simply that it’s EV and it sounds great!“
