EV X-LINE & TOUR GRADE FOR MAGO DE OZ FEST
Serpro Producciones (Monterrey, MX) deployed their new Electro-Voice X-Line / Tour Grade amplifier system for the current Mago de Oz Fest Tour of Mexico, delivering a perfect combination of rock power and sonic polish for Spanish Heavy Metal band Mago de Oz-one of Metal’s biggest acts in Latin America-and an array of guests. EV’s new Tour Grade amps (running IRIS-Net software programmed by Mauricio Alva of Audio y Sonido) are making an especially solid impression on this huge tour:
“The new presets in the TG-7 amps bring a fresh ingredient to our X-Line system,“ says Renato Betancourt of Serpro Producciones. “The rig remains as aggressive as it should be for a large scale rock tour; now, with the addition of TG-7, we have more control and finesse on hand when we need it“-a very important detail considering the dynamics of a show like this, which can change from Metal to Classical in a single measure-“TG-7 is also great in terms of tour logistics,“ Betancourt adds, “as they’re light-weight, more efficient and more compact, but still deliver the power you need to drive a heavyweight system like X-Line.“
Electro-Voice equipment list:
