COMPLETE ELECTRO-VOICE / DYNACORD PROANNOUNCE SYSTEM FOR BELVIDERE HIGH SCHOOL

“The school was looking for an integrated communications system to address their paging, signaling and alarm event needs throughout the entire school, gymnasium, forum room and cafeteria areas,“ says Mike Schindler of Audio Engineering. “Rather than go with a conventional school intercom system, we looked at the more advanced Dyancord ProAnnounce solutions, which really brings pro-audio quality to paging. They now have 16 zones of ProAnnounce, with different event tones throughout the school. Belvidere High School’s ProAnnounce system is built around a DPM4000PA central matrix system processor relayed to three DPC4520 paging stations (eight function keys, 20 selection keys and an alarm key). 74x Electro-Voice MIS8C 10-watt paging projectors are installed at the output end of the extensive system, along with a full compliment of larger, high-performance EV Sx-series speakers for sound reinforcement duties.

The school’s sonic showpiece must surely be the gymnasium system, where a total of 54 distributed Electro-Voice Sx500+, Sx300E and Sx100+ speakers-augmented by FRi181S subwoofers-cover every spot in the house.
