Pro Audio Veteran Paul Carelli Joins Bosch Communications Systems Team

May 30th, 2007

Bosch Communications Systems is proud to announce that Paul Carelli has accepted the position of Sales Manager, Performance Audio. In this capacity, Carelli will oversee the company’s presence in professional audio, with a focus on Electro-Voice line array systems.

Carelli, a 30 year professional audio veteran, brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and expertise to Bosch Communications Systems and its flagship brands Electro-Voice, Midas and Klark Teknik. Prior to this appointment, Carelli spent 12 years with EAW, working in the capacity of Touring Systems Market Manager, handling the company’s global sales initiatives. Carelli was an integral part of many successful launches, including KF Series loudspeakers. Carelli also has an extensive background in professional touring - both behind the desk and as system designer - having worked with Iron Maiden, R.E.M., the Pittsburg Symphony, Billy Idol, etc.

Carelli remarks: “I am very happy to be a member of this team. Given its place within the Bosch family, I think it is Electro-Voice’s turn to take the pole position. I see the significant investments being made domestically in the company, including millions in the company’s loudspeaker manufacturing facility in Arkansas and it’s counter to what most companies are currently doing abroad. The brands Electro-Voice, Midas, and Klark Teknik - already huge names in the touring sound business - through the recent acquisition by Bosch, are poised to be the industry’s #1 leader. “

Given Carelli’s impressive skill set, experience, and knowledge base,

Bosch Communications Systems’ upper management and sales team anticipate his smooth transition into the company.

Vice President of Sales, Bosch Communications Systems, Thomas Hansen remarks: “Paul is one of those rare individuals who has really done it all - to the point where his accomplishments have significantly furthered our industry. His experience spearheading highly successful product launches, knowing first hand the technical side of the concert business, and years spent in the trenches with the industry’s top touring professionals uniquely qualify him for this position. We are ecstatic to have him on our team. We are certain that our place in the concert/performance audio market will be significantly and positively affected by his presence.“

Carelli remarks: “Everybody here has been great to me; the company is definitely people focused. I’m also learning things about the company’s products and technologies that I didn’t know. It’s much deeper and more involved than I thought. For example, Electro-Voice’s IRIS software is incredibly well developed as a networking platform. It’s far ahead of what other companies are doing and to the point that it really anticipates where we will be 5, 10, 20 years down the road. This kind of foresight is almost absent in our industry. The forward-looking work that the company is doing via Bosch’s unprecedented investment in R&D is all very exciting.“
