EV SOUND FOR BLUESFEST IN OTTAWA
Wall Sound, Inc. deployed Electro-Voice XLC and Dynacord Cobra line arrays for the festival’s two main stages, delivering audio to 25 to 30,000-strong audiences every night. “Both these systems deliver impressive performance and coverage for their relatively compact size,“ says Matt Lamarche, General Manager, Wall Sound. “Our upgraded XLC-DVX rig made its festival debut this year; the new DVX woofers offer noticeably more headroom in the low and mid-range, and sounded great running with EV’s XLC factory presets. After adjusting the time alignment for the XLC delay towers, I simply made a couple of minor EQ adjustments and was pretty much ready to go. A wide range of acts played these stages over the course of the festival and both XLC and Cobra worked great, show after show.“
