Bosch Communications Systems Assumes All Sales, Support and Distribution of Bosch Conferencing Products for the Americas
Burnsville, MN (October 2007): Bosch Communications Systems is pleased to announce that as of January 1st, 2008, it will take over all sales, support and distribution of Bosch conferencing products. Prior to this announcement, Listen Technologies Corporation had been the exclusive distributor of Bosch conferencing products. Bosch would like to assure existing Bosch conferencing product customers that they will be well cared for during this transitional period. Bosch would also like to commend Listen Technologies for their hard work and dedication to the product line.
The Bosch purchase of Telex Communications in September of 2006 signifies one of the greatest acquisitions in professional audio history. Bringing the brands Electro-Voice (EV), Telex, RTS, Midas, Klark Teknik, and Dynacord into the Bosch stable of brands demonstrates the company’s commitment to the contracting market. Assuming all sales, support and distribution of Bosch conferencing products only solidifies the ability of Bosch Communications Systems to offer a completely integrated and networkable professional contracting solution. Via Bosch IRIS-Net and other open architecture software the user has full supervision and control over Electro-Voice and Telex wireless and wired microphones, public address, background music, emergency notification, distributed sound systems, CCTV, intrusion alarm, access control, and conferencing systems. Instead of the confusion and compatibility issues that using numerous manufacturers’ equipment presents, Bosch streamlines the specification process by offering a world class solution for every job application.
Existing Telex and Electro-Voice customers have been asking for Bosch’s kind of discussion, language translation, and conferencing solutions for years. Now, via the same distribution channels that customers are already familiar with, Bosch Communications Systems offers this family of products for the rapid growth conferencing market. Bosch’s distribution structure will also allow the company to create greater inventory in country and meet the delivery criteria of its growing customer base. Given that the conferencing market is showing exponential growth-and what with other needs born out of the market’s growing sophistication-successful contractors, integrators, and installers are asking for solutions that have been virtually unavailable-until now.
Bosch Conferencing Products are used in a variety of audio and video applications such as training facilities, corporate boardrooms, financial institutions, higher education, city councils, casino councils, state legislatures, United Nations, courtrooms, hotels and conference centers, government jobs, and wired and wireless rental systems. A wide variety of software modules accommodate system requirements for camera control, microphone management, interpretation, intercom, parliamentary voting, attendance registration, delegate contact database, chip-card encoding, message distribution, text/status display, and video display. Bosch also has state-of-the-art Infrared technology, and products that are immune to cell phone and microwave interference.
Given the market driven customer demands and complexity of bringing numerous brands and product lines together, Bosch Communications Systems spent a great deal of time finding the perfect candidate to serve as director of Bosch Conferencing and Bosch Public Address Products. Mike Webb, longtime Electro-Voice Director of Fixed Installation Products, has been named Director of Sales, Americas, Bosch Public Address and Congress Products. Since this appointment, Webb has been building his team of professional sales, marketing, and technical support people who will be responsible for sales distribution, training and certification for hardware and software, and after sales support. Please anticipate subsequent communication on Bosch Conferencing Products directly from Mike Webb.
