Electro-Voice’ presents REV-WT rechargeable bodypack for REV wireless system at InfoComm 2008

June 18th, 2008

Las Vegas, NV, June 18th, 2008:Electro-Voice is pleased to present the REV-WT rechargeable bodypack for the REV wireless system at InfoComm 2008. The Electro-Voice model REV-WT brings a new level of ergonomics and ease-of-use to the already successful Electro-Voice REV wireless system. Its redesigned aesthetics and ergonomics-as well as its 30% reduction in size from the existing REV-BP bodypack-fulfill the requests customers brought to the EV microphone engineering team. Going one step further, EV also built several other new features, including rechargeability, into the REV-WT. The REV-WT can be used with two NiMH batteries and the BH-200 recharging station to save battery costs, and offers users an environmental friendly option to discarding countless batteries each year. However, should as the situation requires, the REV-WT will function for 8 hours on two standard AA alkaline batteries.

Key features:

  • Cast magnesium case is 30% smaller than the REV-BP and is extremely light and durable with several clip options for comfortable wearing

  • 8 hours of operation with two standard alkaline AA batteries

  • Can be used with two NiMH AA batteries and the BH-200 recharging station to save battery costs and reduce environmental waste

  • TA4 microphone connector compatible with all EV lapel and headworn microphones as well as the PolarChoice Satellite and Boundary Satellite tabletop systems

  • Backlit LCD display with four control buttons mounted inside the battery housing make programming a channel or frequency quick and easy

  • Software-controlled Guitar Mode switches in a 20dB pad, moves the low end response down to 30Hz and changes the audio circuit to optimized guitar mode

  • On/Off switch can be programmed to function as an instant mute while leaving the RF link up to protect your operating frequency

  • On/off button can be disabled to prevent accidental turnoffs during a performance

  • Transmitter can be powered up without RF to check battery status or change channels without disturbing other units

  • 5 or 50mW selectable RF output power so you can optimize range or maximize the number of systems on stage

  • Battery level gauge always visible on the LCD display. Low batter LED will light when the battery requires replacement

  • RF transmit power and audio gain are controlled from the LCD screen controls, no tweaker required.
