Sir Paul McCartney Rocks Quebec with Electro-Voice!

Sir Paul McCartney provided the pièce de résistance among the city’s slew of celebratory cultural events, performing an energetic 2 1/2-hour concert-including a healthy dose of Beatles classics-in front of a euphoric, 260,000-strong audience gathered at the city’s Plains of Abraham.

Quebec City’s Le Groupe SPL provided a suitably powerful PA for the historic show, utilizing Electro-Voice X-Line, Xi, XLC, XLE, and PX loudspeaker systems, all powered by EV amplifiers, with control via IRIS-Net software. Midas Heritage 3000 mixing consoles and Klark Teknik DN360 EQs provided world-class sound quality for Sir Paul and his band’s monitor mixes, presented via a spread of two dozen EV Xw15A stage wedges.
