Montana church boosts sound quality with new Electro-Voice XLD291 system
Faith Chapel in Billings, MT recently gave their sanctuary a sonic boost with a state-of-the-art, 32-speaker Electro-Voice XLD sound system. The designed by Jeff Sanderson, Owner and Senior Consultant, OnPoint Designs (Olympia, WA), and installed in August by AGI, Inc (Eugene, OR).
The system is the first in the United States to combine EV’s new 90-degree XLD291 loudspeakers with new XCS312 cardioid subs, and the combination has perfected the sound in Faith Chapel’s sanctuary. EV’s state-of-the-art NetMax system streamlines system control and DSP, run via IRIS-Net software. Kelly Olp, Senior Technical Director, Faith Chapel comments:
“The system sounds spectacular. We’ve gotten nothing but rave reviews from day one. The XLD provides even coverage to every seat, crystal clarity, and tremendous punch. There literally isn’t a bad seat in the house-the system easily covers the sanctuary, and we couldn’t be happier.“
