EV’ SPONSORS THE ERNIE BALL ’BATTLE OF THE BANDS’ ON THE 2005 WARPED TOUR

Winners of the online Battle of the Bands 9 competition will accompany the 11th Vans Warped Tour around the U.S., giving dozens of unsigned acts the opportunity to perform in front of thousands of punk rock and alternative music fans. Online listeners’ votes will whittle down thousands of entrants, leaving the best regional bands to perform on the “Local Heroes Stage“, a self-contained mobile stage and sound system custom-built by Ernie Ball.

The four bands with the most votes will win thousands of dollars worth of musical equipment, including a selection of microphones from Electro-Voice, including the same EV Cobalt™ mics used on the tour. Winners will also perform at a showcase event in Hollywood, in front of top recording industry executives. Sound reinforcement equipment from Telex Communications brands EV, Dynacord, Midas and Klark Teknik provides these ambitious local acts with the opportunity to sound their best through a world-class P.A.: as well as gear from EV, the system features a Dynacord Cobra line array, a Midas Verona 320 mixing console at FOH and a Midas Venice 320 for monitors.
