EV EVIDS win confidence of London’s award-winning Post House

For two years running, ENVY has won the title for Best Post-Production House at the UK Broadcast Awards. Handling projects for all the main broadcasters, this creative powerhouse has just opened its third facility in London’s West End, featuring a glorious, open-plan reception space and 750 square-feet roof terrace fitted with chic Electro-Voice EVID sound system.

This is the 100th EVID fit for installer Clive Alexander of Empire Sound & Light, whose verdict on EV’s lifestyle-design professional loudspeakers is: “phenomenal!“ It is also the second EVID installation he has done for ENVY.

The new Foley Street facility, which has 34 offline production suites, boasts exceptional relaxation areas for its clients. With wooden floors and an abundance of mirrors, this lofted space is fitted with chandeliers and soft furnishings, and with ENVY’s complimentary bar, it surely qualifies as the ultimate office green room.

Four pairs of white EVID 6.2s are wall-mounted below the roof beams in the reception and bar area; with another pair of 4.2s outside, covering the huge roof terrace that overlooks central London. The system accepts iPod input, and operates primarily in BGM mode.

“At ENVY, the EVIDs have to sound musical,“ says Clive Alexander. “Some of the best video and audio production companies come through this facility, and they would know if the system didn’t sound right. The EVIDs look like they were made for this unusual space, which combines business and pleasure, and even at low levels they still deliver full dynamic range.“
