EV’ UK NEWS: COSMIC WHISPERS FOR EV

Formerly “Shades“, Whispers has been converted by new owners Benning Bros Ltd at a cost of £160,000, and the upgraded sound system is complemented by a full LED and lighting package.

It all adds up to a dramatic environment in which Whispers manager, Katie Denny, can serve her clientele.

Mark Damon’s sound and lighting company were originally brought in through a contact with the venue’s previous manager. Damon commented:

“Gravesend is full of circuit pubs and clubs, and the new owners were keen to make it light and appealing. Following the model they had used recently at Sugar Hut in Brentwood, Cosmic Electronics returned to their tried and trusted EVID loudspeakers. Two 4.2’s are situated in the bar, along with a 12.1 sub, while on the dancefloor four 6.2’s and a 12.1 sub raise the energy level. Since Whispers also has a terrace area, the weatherproofed EVIDs again fit the bill, and a pair of 3.2’s can be found outside. These are a nice compact speakers - so unobtrusive. They sound fantastic and they are reasonably priced … so why change?“ reasons Damon.
