Orlando, Florida, June 17, 2009: Electro-Voice is pleased to announce the release of V1.2.0 software and firmware for the DC-One Loudspeaker Controller.
Based on a two-in-six topology, the DC-One is designed primarily for users of small- to medium-sized sound systems in both mobile and installed applications. While the unit is an all-new development based on a powerful SHARC processor, it is 100% compatible with all settings from other Electro-Voice signal processors, including the Dx38.
A large part of DC-One’s development was aimed towards ensuring users can easily and fully utilize its serious digital horsepower and high-end audio performance. Though free PC-Editor software is available, the DC-One can easily be operated via the front panel. Direct access buttons, six predefined configuration modes (one being free configuration), straightforward output delay settings, and true professional metering all allow for safe operation.
The latest software version includes a number of feature enhancements and additions to bear, including:
Graphic EQ Functionality
Master/Slave Mode for linking two devices together for synchronized parameter adjustment
Enhancements to panel and parameter locking functions
More flexible linking options for input DSP sections, allowing the linking or unlinking of parameters based on the needs to the application, independent of the current DSP configuration
New Speaker Settings for Tour X and Phoenix loudspeaker systems
A complete list of new features and enhancements is available in the Read Me file.
The DC-One Editor Software gives you the option of getting deeper into system control with an intuitive user interface. Functionally, DC-One Editor Software utilizes graphics and color schemes that are stylistically inspired by popular recording software applications. A picture is worth a thousand words - rather than editing your sound with text and numbers, the graphic interface allows you to immediately visualize and control parameters and settings, live and in real-time.
DC-One Editor Software allows you to take the control and configuration of your system to the next level. Operating on a Windows PC, the DC-One Editor connects to the hardware via a simple, plug-and-play, USB interface.
DC-One: Want full control? You’ve got it.
