MISSY ELLIOT PERFORMS IN AMSTERDAM WITH EV AND MIDAS
On November 29th, R&B superstar Missy Elliot performed at the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam. PIEEE Rental supplied the sound system for the event, which included equipment from EV, Midas and Klark Teknik.Hip Hop queen Missy Elliot delivered a stellar performance on the last night of her recent European tour on November 29th, in front of over 5500 fans at the sold-out Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam.
One of the key challenges for the concert sound engineers was live reproduction of the dry, yet extremely powerful bass lines for which Missy Elliot's CDs are known. The production firm, PIEEE Rental, led by Hans van der Wiel, solved the problem — ably assisted by a team from Electric Audio BV — with a diverse Electro-Voice sound system, a Midas Heritage console and Klark-Teknik processing.
As has been proved time and time again at high-end productions, the combination of EV's XLC and X-Array components is an enormous advantage. In this case it allowed PIEEE Rental to implement a sound design that fitted the Heineken Music Hall like a glove.
