An exploded cluster comprised of two EV Xi1123 and a single central Xi1153 serve as main loudspeakers; five Xi1082 (in white) are used as stage lip speakers. Three EV Dx38 processors manage the system; one for the left and right Xi1123 boxes, one for the central Xi1153, one for all the Xi1082 boxes. One EV CPS2.11 and four CPS2.8 amplifiers provide power. A 48-channel Midas Verona completes the picture at FOH. Nick Dorazio of The Speaker Shop described this showpiece EV theatre install:
“This room is very ambient and ‘alive’ -- full of reflective wooden surfaces, with ‘in the round’ seating. This added up to quite a challenge when it came to modeling the system design. I worked closely with Jason Jacquemain (of EV reps CL Pugh) on the preliminary EASE modeling, comparing notes and cross-referencing our performance predictions. The Xi boxes offered the ideal balance of high output and controlled coverage, all the warm sonic character that sets EV apart from other speakers, making them versatile for all kinds of applications.

(New York) to ensure our efforts were on the same page -- we had the room under control with a spectacular sounding system that really compliments this beautiful space. They are using the system frequently and the room is booked up for the rest of the year. They’ve already had large stage shows in there, along with violinists and bluegrass bands -- the whole gamut of performance styles. The Xi is a great-sounding box, and, when you do the groundwork to optimize system performance in a tricky room like this, it’s unbeatable.”
