German hitmakers Marquess on tour with Electro-Voice XLD

Over 1,500 fans flocked to the Samsara club for the concert, which gave Marquess the chance to underline its status as an international act. Taking no chances with the sound reinforcement, the band engaged the services of the Maribor-based Prostt D.o.o. to make sure the job was done properly.

 

The centrepiece of Prostt D.o.o.’s sound reinforcement concept was an extensive Electro-Voice XLD system comprising (16) XLD281, (4) XS212, and (4) Xsub enclosures that delivered powerful, transparent sound while Electro-Voice CP2200 (6), CP3000S (2), and TG-5 (2) amplifiers supplied the requisite power.

 

“The XLD system makes it all easy,” says Marko Pigac of Prostt D.o.o. “It delivers excellent sound and is delightfully uncomplicated to transport and rig. As a result, the Marquess show went like a dream. No stress whatsoever, and heaps of praise for the sound quality. What more could you wish for?”

 

Prostt D.o.o. invested in their  XLD system two years ago. Since then, the compact line-array system has been used at a variety of high-caliber productions, including musical events of all descriptions and several theatrical productions at the Slovenian National Theatre in Maribor. “The enormous versatility of the XLD is another plus point,” adds Pigac. “No question about it, this is one investment that paid for itself long ago!”
