FABTRONIC MATCHES STYLISH INTERIORS WITH EVID SOUND
Northampton, UK-based sound and lighting installer Fabtronic has completed two uber-cool audio system installations in stylish new venues belonging to The Richardson Group, both of which use Electro-Voice’s popular EViD compact loudspeakers with their distinctively-shaped cabinets to complement their highly-designed interiors.
A new venue in Northampton town center, The Church Restaurant is, as the name suggests, a church conversion which has been turned into a classy restaurant with extended opening hours, and more than half an eye on the conference and private function market.
EVIDs were specified, mostly the largest in the range, the 6.2 two-way high-output cabinets with 12.1 subwoofers. Additionally, the Church has smaller 4.2 units for a secondary bar area with high ceilings and striking stained-glass windows. With music playback from CD, the system can be tailored to audience or time or day with a zoner/mixer desk, and it is entirely powered and processed by Electro-Voice products.
The Old White Hart Inn is a minimalist, non-smoking bar/restaurant with a contemporary theme. Originally an old brewery just outside Northampton, the venue has been refurbished beyond all recognition by The Richardson Group. Fabtronic has used white EV EVID speakers to great effect: zoned three ways, the Old White Hart uses ten 6.2 speakers and two 12.1 subs in the lounge area and bar area, with the smaller 4.2 background music speakers in the dining room. EVIDs were chosen for their sonic performance which, according to Fabtronic’s installation team, is completely at home with the BGM requirements of the day.
