Alongside the FIFA World Cup and the Olympic Games, the ICC Cricket World Cup (ICC CWC) is among the most-televised sports events in the world. Now the ICC CWC has one more thing in common with the stadiums that host these illustrious sporting traditions: Electro-Voice sound.
EV achieved VIP prominence in the Caribbean venues for the 2007 tournament (in which the Australian team triumphed), thanks to Caribbean Entertainment Technologies Ltd. (CET) of Barataria, Trinidad.
CET specified distributed EV ZX1 and EVID loudspeaker systems for the VIP boxes and spectator stands at stadiums in Barbados (Kensington Oval), Trinidad (Queen’s Park Oval) and Antigua (Viv Richards Stadium), effectively balancing world-class audio quality with budget-friendliness. The speakers are integrated with fire alarm and life safety systems, ensuring clear, reliable sound reinforcement for any alarm event.
