Sx Series

With the Electro-Voice SB122, the quest for a compact, lightweight, powerful, and affordable subwoofer is finally over. The  SB122 is quite possibly the smallest, most powerful subwoofer on the planet. It packs 400-watt continuous - and 1,600-watt peak - power handling into a 33 lbs (15 kg) package, the SB122 is deceptively powerful. It also employs the new EVS12SB 12-inch, long-excursion woofer for outstanding low-frequency response.  Aesthetically, the SB122 sports a half-face grille with grille cloth, and a newly stylized EV logo. The rich feature set includes a top mounted pole cup, ergonomic carrying handle, large port, and a built-in low-pass filter that eliminates the need for external processing. Of course, external processing is still an option for professionals seeking greater overall system performance gains. And, with a price that makes it all seem too good to be true, SB122 is sure to make you rethink what a compact sub can be.

The Sx100+ is a compact, 12-inch, two-way system that delivers 200-watt continuous - and 800-watt peak power handling. It has a 65 degree x 65 degre Constant Directivity horn to provide excellent projection capability and allows the system to be used horizontally or vertically with identical coverage. The Sx100+ features a light and durable, polypropylene enclosure that is available in either black and white. Its built-in stand-mount accomodates a wide range of accessories to allow safe suspension, arraying, and use as a floor monitor. With Ring-Mode Decoupling, the Sx100+ delivers accurate vocals, instruments, and mids. Its sound quality remains even over a wide dynamic range, and is available with parallel .25-inch connectors or Neutrik Speakons

The Sx250 is a 15-inch, two-way speaker system with 350-watt continuous - and 1,400-watt peak - power handling. It has a 80 degree x 55 degree Constant Directivity horn to provide better projection capabilities than typical 90 degree horns. The Sx250 features a high-performance, EV DL15BFH cast-frame woofer, and a DH2010a pure titanium compression driver. With Ring-Mode Decoupling, the speaker system delivers rich, smooth vocals and accurate, detailed mids. Its dual, Neutrik Speakon input connectors ensure loss-free signal transfer, and comes with a built-in, metal stand-mount. The Sx250's enclosure is built of 18 mm plywood and is finished in black Futura, a baked-on polyurethane finish that is very rugged. The system can be safely suspended using the optional SK-1 hardware kit.

The Sx300E, with 300-watt continuous - and 1,200-watt peak - power handling, is the world's best lightweight, high-power speaker system. It delivers over 125 dB continuous with 131 dB peaks (one-watt /one-meter) at full power. Its 65 degree x 65 degree, Constant Directivity horn allows for vertical or horizontal use with identical coverage. The Sx300E delivers better pattern control and projection than typical 90 degree horns, and features proven and reliable EV components, including a DL12BFH cast-frame, 12-inch woofer and DH2010a pure titanium compression driver. With Ring-Mode Decoupling, it delivers accurate vocals, instruments and mids. The Sx300E's rugged, durable, polypropylene enclosure is light, strong, and available in either black or white.  Its built-in stand-mount and inserts on the enclosure allow the system to be safely suspended and arrayed using a wide range of optional, cost-effective hardware. The Sx300 can also be used as a floor monitor with F200 attachment, and parallel, Neutrik Speakon input connectors for safe, loss-free connections.

It delivers over 125 dB continuous with 131 dB peaks at full power (one watt/one meter) and comes with a built-in 65 degree x 65 degree Constant Directivity, high-frequency horn, which allows for vertical or horizontal orientation without changing coverage patterns. With a DL15SX 15-inch woofer and large enclosure volume, the Sx500+ extends and increases bass output. The system features an asymmetric 75 degree x 60 degree Constant Directivity, high-frequency horn that aims down 10 degrees  to help direct sound at the audience when the system is vertically stand-mounted. The horn-loaded woofer can control the coverage pattern down to an unheard of 500 Hz for higher vocal intelligibility and musical clarity.
