Xlc127+/Xlci127+
The Xlc127+ loudspeaker is a component used in multiples to create a XLC line array. An XLC array can use a minimum of four cabinets, and a reasonable array uses six to eight boxes, with a maximum of 16 for larger arenas. The three-way, axis-asymmetric design includes a single EV DL-12 low-frequency, mid-bass woofer optimized for this cabinet. Two 6.5-inch, horn-loaded drivers in a vertical array comprise the mid-frequency bandpass.
The XLC127+ uses two ND6 (three-inch voice-coil) neodymium compression drivers loaded on two Hydra™ plane wave generators. With a horizontal coverage of 120 degrees, the XLC system accurately covers wide areas while maintaining excellent imaging and lobe-free coverage. The XLC127+ is equipped with an internal x-over for mid-bass and high-frequency to allow for either biamp or triamp operation.
The Xlci version is designed for permanent installation applications with specially designed mounting hardware for easy cost-effective hanging.
Xlc118/Xlci118
The Xlc118 is a direct-radiating sub-woofer designed to provide sub-bass extension that can be flown as an integral part of the Xlc Compact Line Array system, or ground-stacked. Loaded with an EVX180B, this compact sub delivers fantastic low-end while maintaning a low profile.
Xlc215
EV engineers have defined a new group of compact line array elements, the XLC. It is comprised of three components - XLC 127+ full-range with ND6-16 large-format, high-frequency transducers and two subwoofer systems. The XLC 118 sub cabinet uses an EVX-180B, and the XLC 215 uses two DVX3150’s. Both are true sub-bass systems designed for high-level, extended low-frequency output. They share the same enclosure footprint and rigging is identical to the other XLC systems, allowing flexible subwoofer integration with full-range arrays requiring extended low-frequency response. With a height 1.5 times that of the XLC 127+, a subwoofer array can be flown side-by-side with column appearances similar to the main array using a ratio of two subs for every three full-range boxes. Subwoofer systems can also be placed at the top or bottom of full-range arrays for seamless, arrayed, four-way system integration. Designed for use in groups of two or more, the subwoofer delivers predictability and control. Combined with an advanced integrated rigging system, one-man installations are also possible. The subwoofer systems can also be ground-stacked. Ideal for applications ranging from live reinforcement, to performing arts venues, to houses of worship, to sports facilities, XLC provides the power to make it happen. XLC delivers unprecedented performance, particularly in difficult acoustic environments.
Xlc127DVX / Xlci127DVX
The XLC127DVX is the new main component used to create an XLC line array featuring EV’s latest DVX woofers. An XLC array can use a minimum of four cabinets, and a reasonable array uses six to eight boxes, with a maximum of 16 used for larger arenas. The three-way, axis-asymmetric design includes a single DVX3121 12-inch low-frequency, mid-bass woofer; the mid-frequency bandpass is comprised of two 6.5-inch, horn-loaded DVN2065 woofers in a vertical array.
The XLC127DVX uses two ND6 (three-inch voice-coil) neodymium compression drivers loaded on two Hydra™ plane wave generators. With a horizontal coverage of 120 degrees, the XLC system accurately covers wide areas while maintaining excellent imaging and lobe-free coverage. The XLC127DVX is designed for triamp operation. To allow for biamp operation, an internal x-over for mid-bass and high frequencies is available as an accessory.
The Xlci127DVX version is designed for permanent installation applications, with specially designed mounting hardware for easy, cost-effective hanging.
Xlc907DVX
The XLCDVX uses a DVX3121, two DVN2065 neodymium midrange transducers, and two ND6 high frequency transducers. The DVX3121 is a high performance low frequency transducer with forced air, directional voice coil cooling for high power and efficiency. The suspension and magnetic circuit were optimized for long, linear travel to provide low distortion and greater LF extension in a
lightweight transducer. The DVN2065 transducer utilizes neodymium to provide very high output with lightweight and lower distortion. The 3-Way design is comprised of; a 12" vented LF, 2 x 6.5" MB transducers on a 90° horizontal waveguide, and 2 x 3" HF transducers combining through Hydras on a 90° x 7° waveguide. It is designed to be used in tri-amp mode. Bi-amp 3-way operation is possible using the optional sophisticated 24 dB/octave passive MF to HF network. The asymmetrical box design was optimized to produce a symmetrical polar pattern with a uniform power response. Designed for use in groups of four or more the XLC907DVX delivers
predictability and control. XLC907DVX can be used in long narrow venues in arrays of four or more, or in groups of two or more in combination with the XLC127DVX 120° version for long throw on top of arrays.
LAPS modeling software provides quick, accurate results for array configurations and rigging information.
