209
The Electro-Voice® 209 is a high-quality 8 inch, full-range loudspeaker for distributed sound systems. An acoustically transparent dome encloses a small, centrally mounted free-edge cone which is used to improve high-frequency dispersion. The 209 is suitable for use in applications requiring highly intelligible speech or smooth musical reproduction. To ensure long-term  reliability in installations, the 209-8A is designed to handle 10 watts continuous power (40 watts peak) of shaped white noise signal for eight hours per EIA RS-426-A 1980. The 209-4T includes a transformer, allowing connection to 25/70/100-volt line, with taps of 0.5 to 4 watts. The 209-4TWB offers the same performance as the 209-4T and includes a premounted ceiling grille.
309
The Electro-Voice® 309 series loudspeaker systems are two-way loudspeakers with 8-inch low-frequency cones and high temperature voice-coil assemblies coaxially mounted with wide-dispersion cone tweeters. The dual magnet construction allows each speaker to be structurally, magnetically, electrically and mechanically independent of the other. The 309-8A/309-4T/309-8T utilize a single section crossover network, centered at 3,000 Hz, which provides 6 dB of attenuation for the tweeter outside its operating range.  These components are designed to work together as a complete system of in-ceiling loudspeakers and accessories. They provide wide dispersion, high-efficiency, high- maximum output, ease of installation and wide-range reproduction of music or voice. WB versions come complete with a pre-mounted ceiling grille.
409
The Electro-Voice® 409 series loudspeaker systems are two-way loudspeakers with 8-inch low-frequency cones and high temperature voice-coil assemblies coaxially mounted with wide-dispersion cone tweeters. The dual magnet construction allows each speaker to be structurally, magnetically, electrically and mechanically independent of the other. The 409 series utilize a single section crossover network, centered at 2500 Hz, providing 6 dB of attenuation for each element outside the operating range. The 409-8E is an 8 ohm, 32 watt speaker. The 409-ST (with 15700 transformer) and the 409-4T (with 15704 transformer)both offer a selection of 0.5, 1, 2 and 4W. The 409-8T (with 15708 transformer) offers a selection of 1, 2, 4 and 8W. The 409-16T (with 15716 transformer) offers 2, 4, 8 and 16W and the 409-32T (with 15732 transformer) offers a 4, 8, 16, 32W selection
PRO-8A
The PRO-8A is accurate, highly intelligible and musical sounding loudspeaker that is well suited for the reproduction of both voice and music. The PRO-8A employs an unusually large 1-1/2-inch voice coil. This provides increased apex-driving-point cone area and greater thermal capabilities. The result is higher acoustic power output than other brands, which translates into unmatched durability and reliability at lower levels. High frequencies are reproduced by a 1-1/2-inch piezoelectric tweeter that is mounted directly to the pole piece of the woofer. The tweeter being mounted to a stationary surface at the apex of the woofer minimizes intermodulation distortion and allows for improved time alignment over other coaxial ceiling speaker designs. An acoustically transparent dust dome mounted on the woofer cone encapsulates the tweeter offering excellent dust protection for both the woofer voice coil and the tweeter. The PRO-8A series of speakers may be used in ported enclosures where improved low frequency response is desired. Placing the loudspeaker in an enclosure of 1.0 cubic foot with a box tuning frequency of 75 Hz will yield a –3 dB point of 80 Hz. An 80 Hz tuning may be obtained with a port having an area of 7.0 square inches and a length of 0.75 inches.
