Bosch Livens Things Up With An Ultimate Electro‑Voice Sound Experience

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 27 September 2011 – Sime Darby Convention Centre came alive with sound today, as Bosch expanded its Electro-Voice (EV) series of premium level products with the introduction of the RE320 and R300 microphones and Live X Speakers.

A stellar line-up of performers consisting of Chelsia Ng, Katoon Network, Martin Ngim and his band - The Red Quartet, DJ Irwan and Mr.C spiced up the stage with their exceptional display of talent, as their rhythm and beats pulsated through the EV sound system.

The ‘EV Experience Day’ held at Sime Darby Convention Centre today featured these latest products, as well as a variety of other components of the Electro-Voice range.

Local celebrities at the EV Experience Day

The EV Experience Day presented a variety of artistes from the local entertainment industry, ranging from a solo artist to a live band, dance crew, beatboxer and DJ.

Chelsia Ng’s rise to stardom was inevitable. She first made her presence known in the popular comedy series Kopitiam and has since starred in a string of local productions. With a passion for music that has evolved from a young age, the actress is now expanding her repertoire with the release of her self-composed debut single, Not A Lie. This event was momentous for Chelsia, as it was the first time that she performed her single live in public since its release on 9 September 2011.

The animated dance troupe, Katoon Network, burst onto the scene as a winner of the notorious dance tournament, Astro Battleground 2009. Incorporating unique dance moves with comedic sketches is their forte. Managed by outstanding celebrity choreographer, Fellest Yan, the dynamic and vivacious Katoon Network promises audiences an exhilarating performance.

Drummer extraordinaire, Martin Ngim, regularly takes the stage with local jazz bands and has performed/recorded with various jazz and non-jazz artistes including Greg Lyons, Lewis Pragasam, Michael Veerapen, Rachel Guerzo, Jaclyn Victor, Chinese songstress Yudi, Vince Chong, Siti Nurhaliza, Yasin, Shanon Shah, Hunny Madu and Fish Leong. After a worldwide tour with a mando-pop band of legendary Taiwanese singers, Martin’s talent was recognized by band member, Emil Chau, and is now on a solo world tour with the singer. Martin is also the first Malaysian endorsee of the world-renowned German brand, SONOR drums.

The Red Quartet is a collective of musical talents bringing fresh, new perspectives and interpretations of music with funky, foot-thumping grooves. The Red Quartet consists of Martin Ngim on drums, Terence Liew on keys, Ken Chung on bass and Joel Voo on guitar. Joining them on vocals is the ever soulful, gorgeous voice of Fatin Syazanna.

DJ Irwan was a Top 3 finalist in the 2006 Vestak Extravaganza DJ Competition and a semi-finalist at the local 2008 DJ Quest. With years of experience DJ-ing at local clubs, events and private parties, Irwan took up a day job as a designer and system analysis consultant for well-known international sound system brands, where he now focuses on delivering best sound quality to audiences.

See Khai Shen, known by his stage name Mr.C, has fostered his beatboxing talent from a young age. This promising young performer recently won himself a top 3 position, out of hundreds of competitors, in the nationwide U-Online competition. As he continues to perfect his unique gift, regularly performing at private and corporate functions, he hopes his passion will bring as much joy to his audiences as it does to him.
