EV has a NEW take on NAMM in 2018!
It was all-change at the recent NAMM show in Anaheim, CA, where the musical instrument and pro audio industries kick off the year with the latest products and technologies. Along with a record attendance of over 155K, 2018 saw the show move its pro audio exhibitors into a brand-new $190M, 200K sq. ft. multi-story wing of the convention center. EV occupied one of the largest demo rooms in this vast new space – The Electro-Voice Audio Experience – allowing us to turn up our loudspeakers to significantly higher SPLs than previously possible on the regular show floor.
Along with new product demo sessions focusing on the EVOLVE 50 column system and ELX200 portable loudspeakers, super audio demo sessions added ZLX, EKX and ETX models to the mix to give attendees a deeper dive into the EV portable sound portfolio. The new award-winning L Series live sound amps from EV’s sibling brand Dynacord were also part of the show – the perfect power choice for a range of passive EV loudspeaker models. In between these sessions guests were able to explore and demo the EV microphone family, including the ND series instrument and vocal models. Along with the always-popular t-shirt giveaways and happy hours, dozens of entrants vied daily for various EV speaker and mic prizes. Thanks from the EV team to everyone who stopped by the booth to make this new take on NAMM a success!
