Blasko: EV Wireless at the Forefront of Ozzfest

Rob Nicholson, also known as “Blasko“, will be playing bass in this year’s incarnation of legend Ozzy Osbourne’s band, aside fellow EV endorser, Zakk Wylde. Given the size of the stage and the histrionics inherent in Ozzfest productions, Blasko will be using and endorsing an EV RE-1 wireless system.

Bio: BlaskoOver the years, Blasko has performed on many instruments, including drums, guitar, and bass, as well stints as vocalist. Blasko began his career playing bass for Santa Monica-based speed/thrash band Cryptic Slaughter, performing on several of their albums. Rob later moved on to sing lead vocals for the death-metal influenced bands Killing Spree and Suffer. He then went on to pursue other musical interests with the alternative rock band Drown. Blasko soon left Drown to play bass for Prong, but appeared on none of their albums due to their disbanding. Blasko joined Danzig in September of 1997. After solid touring with Danzig, his name caught the attention of Rob Zombie. He has thus far played on all of Rob Zombie’s solo albums: Hellbilly Deluxe, The Sinister Urge, & Educated Horses.
